Writing about architecture and landscape design
that contributes to the vital issues of our time

About

I'm an award-winning writer on design, sustainability, and well-being in the built environment. I write regularly for Architectural Record (where I'm a contributing editor and where my work formed part of the magazine's 2016 Jesse H. Neal Award-winning portfolio) and Landscape Architecture Magazine (where my work won the 2022 Bradford Williams Medal from the American Society of Landscape Architects), among others.I hold a graduate professional degree in architecture and, as a designer and project manager, have provided leadership to a varied set of building types and scales, including a Green Building of the Year Award winner from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and the Canada Green Building Council. If you have a project or story you think I'd be interested in, I'd be happy to hear from you!
